uncontested divorce is a divorce that is not objected to by any of the parties. All mediation cases are uncontested, in spite of the fact that oftentimes it is one of the parties that initiated the divorce in spite of the lack of will to divorce from the other party. I have the utmost respect for people that choose mediation through these circumstances. Some of the uncontested divorce cases are amicable, others are more difficult but the vast majority of the cases settle through mediation and the parties go on to rebuild their lives and focus on their kids, careers and other aspects of their lives rather than litigate for many years and go through devastating legal financial expenses and a traumatizing divorce process which leaves its marks on the entire family. Regardless of what happened that caused the divorce- lack of trust, infidelity, communication problems, much hurt and anger- an uncontested divorce is still possible and in the vast majority of cases- recommended. Remember- as angry, hurt or upset as you may be, mediation is still the most sensible choice for you and for your family- in every possible way.
